Master of Science in Nursing Program


Nurse Administrator Concentration

This program prepares graduates for roles to ensuring cost effective care by providing oversight and management of unit (or organization) financial resources and improved patient outcomes via  strategic management of human and material resources in health organizations. Students complete a total of 400 clinical practicum hours, applying leadership and management principles in a variety of health care settings with an emphasis on the organizational environment.  Graduates of the Nurse Administrator program are qualified to take the Nurse Executive certification (formerly Nursing administration certification) exam through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)  http://www.nursecredentialing.org/NurseSpecialties/NurseExecutiveAdvanced.aspx
